How to Clean your Grill with Norwex

 

 Clearly, our grill needed a good cleaning.  But, the Oven and Grill Cleaner was not match. 

 

I turned the grill on for a little bit to heat up and loosen some of the charred stuff.  Once it had cooled back down, I sprayed everything with the Oven and Grill Cleaner and let sit for a few minutes.  Then I scrubbed with a Spirisponge.  If I'd thought of it, a Spirinette would have worked even better.

Using the Micro Hand Pads, I got almost all of it off.  If I wasn't exhausted from scrubbing, I probably would have been able to remove the rest.  One thing that I really like is how the hand pad holds up.  Unlike the Magic Eraser, which disintegrates in your hand, the Micro Hand Pad held itself together for a much longer period of time.  That being said, I went through one and half pads getting this off my wall.  Ordering more, for sure.

How To Clean my Glass top Stove

I have a brand new glass top stove.  I can usually get it clean with my kitchen cloth or an enviro cloth.  But, after mac and cheese boils over, I break out my Cleaning Paste and that does the trick.

However, this time I wasn't sure what was burnt on and my usual tricks weren't working.  So, along with my CP, I grabbed my Spirisponge.  That got most of it off, but not everything (should have taken a pic, but I was in a "get-it-done" mode).  I upped the anty and grabbed a Spirinet.  That did the trick.  Good as new!

I scrubbed good and hard with that Spirinet and there are no scratches on my stove top.  But, that pesky burnt-on something didn't stand a chance.  Clean Happy!

How Do I Take Care of My Norwex Cloths

How do I use these cloths?

Our antibac microfiber cloths should be used with water only.  Our highly effective microfiber pulls everything off the surface being cleaned.  The silver instantly starts self-purifying the cloth so it is ready to use the next time it is needed.  Antibac cloths will be labeled as such on the Norwex tag.

If the cloth is not antibac (no silver) you may use it with soap. 

How do I care for these cloths?

After each use, all cloths should be rinsed thoroughly and hung to dry.  When the microfiber is full (you’ll notice it’s not picking up as much as it should) it’s time to wash it.  Wash all cloths in your washing machine on hot with low lint items (I recommend sheets).  Hang to dry.  Do not use fabric softener or bleach.

Can I use detergent with these cloths?

Yes, use a little bit of detergent in each load.  We recommend using a filler-free detergent (like Norwex UPP, of course!).  Once every month or two it’s a good idea to give your cloths a deep cleaning.  You can do this by boiling cloths (one at a time) for 10 – 15 minutes or putting them in a crockpot, on low, for 3 - 4 hours. 

Is my cloth ruined if I use fabric softener or they are washed with towels?

NO!  It’s easy to fix.  Boil the cloth or soak in a crock pot.  This will open up the microfibers, releasing the fabric softener or lint.  The only thing that can permanently damage your cloths is bleach.

After seeing this, I can't tell you how relieved I was that the towels hanging in my kitchen and bathrooms are all Antibac Norwex towels.



I have always been grossed out by kitchen towels and dish rags.  After just one or two uses they start to stink and I could even smell it on my hands (ewww).  The first thing I did every morning was take yesterday's towels and rags and put them in the laundry room.  When I was first introduced to Norwex Tea Towel Set and Kitchen Cloth Set I was told that the self-purifying silver would make them last several days.  Despite this, I had little faith that these kitchen cloths and towels would last too long in my kitchen.  I remember checking my first kitchen cloth (it was yellow, if I remember correctly) after using it for a day and I was shocked that it didn't smell at all.  It took me a while to get comfortable using my cloths more than two or three days before throwing them in the wash.  But now I use them until I don't remember the last time I switched cloths.  They clean up great.  And every few weeks I soak them in the crock pot (for 3 or 4 hours).  I've noticed that the kitchen cloths, more than any other Norwex cloths I use throughout my home, need a deep cleaning on a regular basis.

When it comes to the bathroom,  I recommend the X-Large Bath towel over the Large size.  To be completely honest, if you like a really plush, soft bath towel, these will fall short.  However, if you like a towel that doesn't get musty and cleans itself while hanging in your bathroom between uses, this is the one for you!  I still wash ours once a week or so, but more out of habit than necessity.

For kids I recommend the cute kids' bath towel.  It's a bit thicker than the regular bath towels and big enough to fit kids up to age 7. 



The Body Cloths are great for kids and adults alike.  You can also get the Baby Body Cloths, but my kids prefer the bigger size.  I bought the vibrant pack and each of my three kids has their own specific color.  For myself, I have a the natural pack and keep one near my sink for washing my face before bed and one hanging in my shower.  I went soap-free a couple of months ago and I'm loving it.  Saving time and money while getting squeaky clean!


Lastly, but not least, is the Antibac Hand Towel.  I have one (or two) hanging in each bathroom.  It's like wiping my hands on a new towel with every use.  I have three kids, one of whom is a 6-year old boy, and it eases my mind knowing that the boy germs on his poorly washed hands are no match for the silver in this towel.



There is a peace of mind that comes along with the Norwex Antibac microfiber products.  Who wouldn't want that?

How do Norwex Products work?

 My home can put any cleaning regimen to the test.  Three kids (four, if you count my husband), a dog, a cat and two guinea pigs means my house is in constant need of cleaning.  Here's the problem: I hate cleaning.  I will find any distraction (including starting a brand new blog) to keep me from doing what needs to be done around here.  I started using and selling Norwex a year ago and since then it's been much easier to stay on top of my home's cleaning needs.  Cleaning is faster and more effective and safer for my family and pets.

I use my Norwex products on a daily basis and I thought I should start keeping track of how they work.  I believe that Norwex can clean anything around here.  I'm usually right, and I love to have those personal testimonials to share with my customers.  (There are rare cases where my Norwex fails me, and that's important information for my customers as well.)
